Vietnam, the world's second-largest coffee exporter, reported a 21% increase in export volumes for the January-July 2026 period, reaching 1.31 million metric tons, according to an analysis by ADM Investor Services based on official customs data.
Most of the growth came from July alone, when exports jumped 287% year-over-year to 396,000 tons — an unusually fast pace even for a year with a generous harvest.
Vietnam grows mostly robusta, the variety widely used in instant coffee and commercial espresso blends, and such a sharp rise in supply tends to weigh on international futures prices in the months that follow.
