The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) forecasts record global coffee production for the 2026/2027 season — roughly 189.7 million 60kg bags, up 6% from the previous season. The gain is driven largely by favorable growing conditions in Brazil, where the crop is projected at 71.9 million bags, a 14% jump year-over-year.
By type, arabica output is expected to rise 12%, while robusta may dip slightly, by about 1%. The USDA also projects record exports of 158.9 million bags (up 8.9%) and record global consumption at 179.7 million bags. World ending stocks are forecast to climb to 26.3 million bags.
The figures point to a steadily expanding global coffee market, with Brazil remaining the main engine behind next season's supply growth.
