US roasting equipment maker Sivetz Roasting Machines, known for its original fluid-bed roasting technology, has launched a new electric-powered roaster line: the SRM9E (9 kg capacity) and SRM5E (5 kg capacity). Both machines were originally designed by Kansas-based Peachey Roasters, with the two brands unifying under the Sivetz name during 2026.

As launch partner, the company picked Andrew Coe, the 2023 U.S. Coffee Roasting Champion, who will receive an SRM9E for his own roasting operation in St. George, Utah, and work with Sivetz on testing and education. The SRM9E offers real-time temperature feedback, responsive heat and airflow control, and stable conditions throughout a roast batch.

The launch reflects growing industry interest in electric roasting equipment, prized for more precise, controllable results than traditional gas-fired machines.
