Canadian company Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee announced on July 29 the launch of a new coffee extract manufacturing operation called Complete Extract Solutions, housed within its existing 320,000-square-foot facility in Mississauga, Ontario. The multiyear investment brings coffee sourcing, roasting, extraction, aseptic processing, product development, and commercial-scale packaging together under one roof.
The new line produces cold brew, iced coffee, and "sweet and creamy" options, available both as ready-to-drink beverages and as concentrates up to a 48:1 ratio, packaged in bag-in-box for retail, pouches and dispensers for foodservice, or drums and totes for industrial customers. Aseptic processing keeps products shelf-stable at room temperature before opening, simplifying transport and storage.
The investment comes as demand for cold coffee keeps climbing: cold coffee volume in U.S. foodservice is projected to grow 6.2% annually through 2030, while in Canada it already accounts for nearly a quarter of quick-service coffee servings.
