Malaysian barista Nas Jaafar won the 2026 World Brewers Cup title at the final held at Brussels Expo on June 25–27, 2026 — a historic first, marking the first-ever World Brewers Cup title won by a Malaysian competitor.
In the final, Jaafar competed against five other finalists, representing Australia, Hong Kong, Czech Republic, South Korea, and France. His winning routine used a Panama Finca Nuguo Geisha, naturally processed through anaerobic fermentation, brewed with a combined technique — a UFO V3 dripper paired with a Hario Switch base, blending percolation and immersion brewing.
The World Brewers Cup, part of World of Coffee, remains one of the world's most important showcases for manual coffee brewing technique.
