Colombia's National Federation of Coffee Growers (FNC) has published its tally for the October 2025 to September 2026 coffee year: 12.65 million 60-kg bags, against 14.87 million in the previous cycle. That works out to a decline of roughly 15%, following a season that had been one of the strongest in decades.

Exports slipped by about 12% to 11.78 million bags. September offered a brighter note, though, with both output (up 6%) and shipments (up 9%) ahead of the same month last year. The United States remains the leading buyer at around 38% of volumes, with Germany and Canada next in line.

Colombia ranks third among the world's coffee producers, behind Brazil and Vietnam, and the crop supports some 560,000 farming families. With arabica prices still elevated, traders are watching every shift in supply from the country's mountain farms closely.
