Brazil’s coffee exporters’ council, Cecafé, released its September 2026 figures on 9 October: 3.894 million 60-kg bags shipped, up 3.1% on September 2025. Revenue, however, fell 7.1% to US$1.282 billion, meaning each bag is earning less than a year ago. Separate government data put green coffee shipments at their highest monthly volume in 20 months.

The standout story is the United States, which took 625,192 bags — 86.4% more than a year earlier. The rebound follows Washington’s removal of tariffs on most Brazilian coffee in November 2025, with soluble coffee exempted in July 2026.

Across the first nine months, total exports were essentially flat at 29.1 million bags, but the mix is shifting: robusta/conilon shipments climbed 68%, while arabica fell by almost 11%.
