Lithuanian agri-food group Akola Group said on 19 October that it is raising its holding in OMG Bubble Tea to 51%, giving it control of the company. The price was kept confidential. Akola first came on board in 2024, when it invested €1.9 million for a minority stake and a board seat.

Founded in 2022, OMG Bubble Tea makes ready-to-drink bubble tea at a plant in Panevėžys that employs 51 people. Sales reached €9.5 million in the 2025 financial year, and roughly 97% of production is exported to more than 30 countries, including France, Germany, the UK and Austria.

Under the deal, Akola will appoint three of the five board members, while the founders stay involved in running the business. The new majority owner plans to bring capital plus manufacturing and export know-how to speed up international growth. It is another sign that modern, tea-based drinks are winning shelf space across Europe, including in the east of the continent.
