British tea maker Ahmad Tea chose a practical way to mark the UK's Emergency Services Day (9 September): a visit to the base of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, where the crew received brew kits assembled for the occasion, together with enough tea to keep the base and crew rest areas supplied for a full year.
Each kit holds a selection of the brand's blends, a reusable mug and a personal thank-you card. The donation-funded air ambulance sends critical care teams to medical emergencies across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and Ahmad Tea — which is headquartered in Hampshire itself — has named it its UK charity of the year for 2026. Managing director Ebraham Afshar said the company is proud to support the team's "extraordinary work".
It is a good example of how a tea brand can tie itself to its local community without an expensive campaign. If you are after a solid everyday black tea of the kind found in those crew kits, our black tea collection offers classic blends from VAHDAM® and KYUFI.
